Our days will be spent 100% outdoors.
We may hunt for salamanders, learn about chickens and where eggs come from, learn about gardening, climb a tree, play in the creek, catch frogs and turtles, do a craft, read a book, have a dance party, practice archery, build a fire, or work together as a team to build a shelter. The child's mind is the guide and we are there to simply keep them safe and answer questions.
We will also be immersed in farm life and learn all about the farm animals. The kids will help out with simple farm chores like feeding, watering, and collecting eggs.
The possibilities are abundant and exciting.
Through self directed play in nature, children learn to take care of each other, take care of themselves, and learn to respect and care for the forest around them.
Our goal is to return your child to you full of memories and tired from a day full of forest and farm exploration.
"An environment based education.
Movement will help students realize that school is not supposed to be a polite form of incarceration, but a portal to the wider world.”
